Function and Application

OrionMeter LA-IP and OrionMeter LA-IP [4O] devices are Class A LoRaWAN compliant. These devices are designed to count pulses received on three independent discrete / pulse inputs. Counter values are periodically accumulated in the device's non-volatile memory. Subsequently, these accumulated data, along with current input values, are transmitted via radio to the LoRaWAN network.

The device can also be used to poll the status of connected external devices and transmit messages with the current input states to the LoRaWAN network. External devices may be equipped with outputs such as reed switches (dry contact), mechanical buttons, or open collector (diode or transistor).

OrionMeter LA-IP and OrionMeter LA-IP [4O] can be utilised as a remote data acquisition device for utility meters (e.g., water, gas, heat, electricity meters), motion sensors, glass break detectors, and smoke detectors in security and fire alarm systems. Furthermore, it is suitable for use in automated control systems and for monitoring and controlling temperature, water, or gas leaks in industrial or domestic equipment.
