Function and Application

The OrionMeter LA-IP-MBUS device is designed for polling utility meters via the M-Bus interface and transmitting the collected data over a LoRaWAN network. It is classified as a Class A device according to the LoRaWAN specification and operates on an internal lithium battery.

The device features an M-Bus interface port that allows connection of up to four compatible metering devices such as water meters, heat meters, and other equipment that supports the M-Bus protocol.

Thanks to the combination of M-Bus and wireless communication via LoRaWAN, the LA-IP-MBUS device is well-suited for use in automated metering and utility dispatching systems, as well as in industrial and residential data collection scenarios.
